Climbing is for many connected to spectacular tours on the highest summits of the Alps and to breath-taking rock acrobatics. Well yes, in the Ötztal some of the world’s best climbers can be seen climbing. They find perfect conditions in Tirol’s probably most famous granite rock climbing area. But there are also other forms of climbing and therefore climbing is also a sport for everyone.
The family-friendly Moosalm climbing crag shows that climbing is a sport for the whole family. Here the young and old can gain experience on the rocks. Advanced climbers are often found in the crag in the Freizeit Arena in Sölden, where they find perfect conditions. The other climbing crags in the Ötztal also offer delightfully varied routes and are definitely worth a visit.
Via ferratas are the ideal combination of mountaineering and climbing. The steel rope all the way up provides for safety, in addition steps and grips are added in difficult sections. The so-called via ferratas provide for a change and are a real addition to the outdoor playground. In the Ötztal there are several attractive via ferratas ranging from easy to demanding.
